2023 SUMMER PLAYGROUND

Dates: June 19th to August 4th (No July 3 or 4)
Days: Monday - Thursday
Field Trips: Fridays
Ages: Completed 4k - Completed 5th grade (2022-2023 School Year)
Times
Before Care: 7am-9am
Summer Playground: 9am-3pm
After Care: 3pm-6pm
Location: Evergreen Elementary

Children will participate in daily activities such as sports, arts and crafts, playground time, water days, and more!  The goal of Summer Playground is to offer free play and allow children the opportunity to be creative and try new games/activities.

***We do not provide breakfast or lunch.  Children need to come to Summer Playground with their own meals.***

General Summer Playground hours are 9am-3pm - Monday - Thursday
However, we offer Before and After Care for an additional Cost. Before Care is 7-9am and After Care is 3-6pm.

Flex Days - pick and choose the days your child/ren come to Summer Playground Monday-Thursday. 
(When choosing FLEX DAYS - ALL DATES MUST BE PICKED WHEN REGISTERING - NO REFUNDS IF CHILD/REN CANNOT ATTEND A DAY - NO EXCEPTIONS)

Flex Days - Daily Rates - $50/Day
7am-6pm


Summer School
If your child is attending Summer School and registers for Before Care and/or Summer Playground, we will coordinate to ensure your child gets to and from Summer School/Summer Playground safely.  One of our Summer Playground Coordinators will walk children to Summer School and back to Summer Playground once Summer School is over.

On Fridays, you have the option to sign up for field trips.  You must register for each Field Trip individually.  THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR FIELD TRIPS IS JUNE 5TH.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY FIELD TRIP REGISTRATIONS AFTER THIS DEADLINE.  There will be no general Summer Playground Supervision on Field Trip Fridays for children not attending Field Trips.  We will offer normal Before and After Care hours on these days.  We will also provide care during Summer Playground hours (between 9am-3pm) on Fridays that the bus doesn't leave until after 9am or the bus returns before 3pm as well as for Field Trips that take place at Evergreen Elementary.

***A child MUST be registered for Summer Playground in order to attend Field Trips.  If a Child is not registered for Summer Playground, but would like to attend a Field Trip, they must do a Flex Day registration for the day of the Field Trip***

Field Trips
June 23: Bowling at Alpine Lanes in Muskego
Bus Leaves: 9:30am
Bus Returns: 1:00pm
Cost: $16.00 (Includes shoes, bowling, drink and pizza)
If your child does not want pizza, they may bring their own lunch

June 30: Action Territory (Kenosha)
Bus Leaves: 9:30am
Bus Returns: 2:45pm
Cost: $28.00 (Includes unlimited go-kart, laser tag, bumper car, bumper boat, mini golf and VR.  Also includes $5.00 action card for arcade games.  Parents/Guardians must provide additional money for arcade games if desired.  Participants must bring their own lunch or purchase food.

July 7: Mad Science (At Evergreen Elementary)
Time: 1:00pm to 2:30pm
Cost: $18 (Includes 35-40 minute Science Show and three Science Stations: Slippery Slime, Bubbling Potions and Design Challenge.)
  
July 14: Discovery World (Milwaukee)
Bus Leaves: 9:15am
Bus Returns: 2:30pm
Cost: $15 (Children must bring their own lunch)

July 21: Milwaukee County Zoo
Bus Leaves: 9:30am
Bus Returns: 2:45pm
Cost: $15 (Children can bring their own lunch or bring money to purchase food.  It is suggested that children bring a backpack and water bottle to hydrate and secure their belongings.)

July 28: Burlington Pool
Bus Leaves: 10:30am
Bus Returns: 2:30pm
Cost: $12 (Children can bring their own lunch or bring money to purchase food.  Children can also bring a water bottle.)  

August 4: End of Summer Bash (Evergreen Elementary)
Hours: 9am to 3pm
Cost: $10
An end of Summer celebration with games, activities, attractions, food and more!

Library Days
The Waterford Public Library will be on site three days throughout the Summer for children to check out books.  If you want your child to check out books, please make sure they are already signed up for a Library Card.
